I’m a graphic designer with a BFA from Kutztown University and just under five years of design experience in a pretty wide range of places: commercial print production, in-house church communications, and the marketing department of a Marine Corps MWR.
Across all of them, I tended to end up with the rush jobs, like same-day wedding stationery at the print shop and quick-turnaround projects for the base. I like having clear deadlines and getting it right the first time.
I’ve spent 20 years as a military spouse and moved across the country several times. On our last move, I drove our pick-up towing our race car. It’s been an adventure, but I’m glad to be back in Pennsylvania for good, and I’m looking for a full-time design job here.
Every place we’ve lived has come with its own set of hobbies. In California, it was scouting. My husband and I were both adult leaders, and we spent a lot of weekends on hikes and treks. Here, our troop is much smaller, so I’m still figuring out Pennsylvania’s version. So far it’s lifting weights, a growing pile of houseplants, and learning how to hike somewhere it actually rains.
